1) Submit To Various Website Directories
There are hundreds if not thousands of website directories that provide both free as well as paid website directory listings. You need to designate a certain amount of your time, submitting your website to website directories, and it does take time to submit your website. I try to submit at least a couple of free websites a week. You just need to develop the self discipline to website directory for your website. If you implement sound time management tips for weekly website directory submission, in due time will increase your web traffic, with increased web visitors.
2) Submit Informative Articles to Article Directories
Article submission is key in maintaining and growing website traffic. You just need to prioritize your daily tasks to make sure you are writing articles. If your website business for example is about metal detecting, write and submit unique articles about the hobby of metal detecting.
Do a review of the top 5 metal detectors, and post the article to various article directories such as ezinearticles.com, or articles/directories.php. Writing key word focused articles with a link to your signature URL at the end, will begin to establish credibility for yourself as a credible authority in your niche field of business. Ezinearticles.com for me, is probably the best article directory online today, and has brought my website tremendous website traffic and internet exposure.
3) Submit to Niche Website Directories
There are niche website directories, just as there are general website directories, there are also specific niche directories that you will need to submit your website to as well. If you can get in the habit and develop the self discipline for weekly website directory submission for at least the first 6 months or so of your business, then you will begin the snowball effect, that through your efforts will more than return financial dividends in the form of increased traffic generation and website traffic for your business. Some of the better renown niche directories.
4) Blogging for Dollars
Another excellent method for increasing traffic generation and web traffic, is to open a blog account. The personal blog account I use for growing my website traffic is blogger. The nice feature of blogger, is you can easily put place in text links in your blog, that will take your visitors and would be buying customers to various pages on your website, noting the products and/or services that you are promoting.
I try to do at least 2 new blogs a month. Develop a smart goals plan for your business to blog to grow and increase your web traffic.
5) Obtain One-way Back Links
Another method you need to start doing very early on, is developing quality one way links,in developing what SBI teaches, and I still use, value link exchange with other niche businesses to your own business.
The only way to increasingly grow your website traffic is through linking with other like-minded websites. But the emphasis should always be on the quality of links-not the quantity of links obtained. With the ever increasingly plethora of scam related sites appearing on the web, you need to make sure you are linking with reputable websites that provide real value for their customers, just as I am doing with my successful website.
Never ever compromise quantity over quality of sites to link with. Reach out to these credible websites via e-mail, and offer to link with them for an exchange link to their site in your link resources page. It’s a win win, as both of you will get a link back, which will generate more website traffic, as more and more links will be pointing back to your website.
6) Create An Informative Survey or Questionnaire
Develop a survey on your site. SBI provides this invaluable service as part of the overall package called SBI2-4u-sitesell.com, which allows a more interactive approach to e-business marketing and communication. I currently use this survey approach on several of the 136 pages I already have built on my site.
On my metal detecting page metal detecting, I have a questionnaire, whereby online contributors, who themselves are metal detector enthusiasts, can post their their best unusual or valuable finds. This increases my website traffic, and improves my overall rank with the search engines.
Or you could develop a survey that is relate to your business niche. There is no limit how such a user friendly, interactive approach and snow-ball your web visitors and in turn, increasingly grow your visibility and web traffic online. If you’re not doing this, your already behind the 8 ball.
7) Tapping Into The Power of Social Networks such as Facebook & Twitter
Social networks and social media are here to stay, and powerhouses such as facebook, and even twitter, are revolutionizing how business is now conducted online.
I currently use both facebook, twitter and others in my successful SBI business. The businesses that can tap into the power of these social networks in their online marketing efforts, will reap the financial rewards and benefits of their impact in helping you to grow your web visitors and your financial bottom line.
8 ) Do a Press Release About Your Business
Put out a public statement about your company and it’s product and/or service you are promoting. Media can be a tremendous tool, in helping your grow your online presence by increasing your web traffic, by promoting your story of success, and your company’s contribution to the community and your customers. If you have a business that provides value, why not allow the power and influence of the media to grow your website traffic for you?
9) sign Up for Google Alerts
GOOGLE is the most powerful global search engine online today, and second to no one in its depth and breadth of influence that spans all corners of the world. Once you sign up and register with Google, you are able to sign up for Google alerts. Google alerts are e-mails that Google will send you daily with respect to your business niche field.
If your business is gardening lets say, Google will e-mail you Google alerts about gardening; from bloggers about their best rose bush, orchids, to best tips for pest control in agriculture.
You can then comment on others blogs, posts about gardening in this example. You can then offer fresh insight on issues about gardening in this example, that others may never heard of or even be aware. You are able to put your name. e-mail, and in most cases, your URL to your website. But be ever so careful to provide real value in your comments, never ever blog to sell your services and/or products.
10) Online Forum Participation
Forums are a tremendous vehicle by which your website business and your services will eventually be known. Do a Google search, more likely there is a forum about your nice business. Sign up and become a regular forum member. The more active you are, the more that you will become known as a leader and an authority in your niche business.
Help and be helped. All these 10 steps that I have identified will have a profound impact in your business, if you dare to be bold enough, and to have the creative-visualization to see where you want to go with your business. And by no means is this an exhaustive list. This list of 10 are things that I do, and have been doing since my website went online in June 2009, and should become part of your business goals as well.
You too can have the same level of success that I am doing, if you develop the self motivation and the self confidence in yourself and in your God given abilities. With an ever increasing number of websites that come online, you need to make sure your website’s content stays fresh and relative Not only does your content have to be fresh and vibrant, it must also be relative to what your visitors and would be customers are seeking.
Making your content fresh and vibrant is something you will have to frequently by updating your pages periodically. I have a 136 pages on my site, and I make it appoint to update content every other month or so. This does two things; updates my pages so my content is more fresh and relative, but also the major search engines Google, Yahoo, and Bing, et al, notice the changes and my site is indexed which automatically increased my web traffic. Make it appoint to increase fresh content on your website, but to continually monitor and update your pages periodically as I do.
